How to check the results of the elections in Spain 2023: cities, municipalities and neighborhoods

(Spanish CNN) — The majority of Spain’s autonomous communities and municipalities will hold elections on May 28, which many see as a kind of thermometer of what might happen at the end of the year, in the general elections in which the Congress of deputies and the Senate.

Only the so-called “historical” autonomous communities — Andalusia, Catalonia, Galicia, the Basque Country and Castile and León — will be excluded from the call on Sunday, May 28, since the quadrennial terms of their Legislative Assemblies will end years later.

In municipal and regional elections, political forces will fight to maintain the continuity of the governments they lead and win the presidency in regions where it has so far been elusive.

Once the vote is finished and as the votes are counted, you will be able to consult the results of the municipal and regional elections in Spain via the electoral information website of the Ministry of the Interior.

Remember that these results are provisional and that, according to the Ministry of the Interior, the official and final ballot is carried out by the competent Electoral Councils and begins three days after the elections.

  2. Then you need to enter the section “local elections 28M”
  3. Once inside, go back and select the “view” option which is in the “provisional results” section
