Russia launched an airstrike on the Ukrainian capital of Kiev overnight from Saturday to Sunday, using Iranian-made drones for the first time in 12 days, according to the head of the city’s military administration.
Serhii Popko, head of Kyiv city military administration, said Ukrainian air defense detected and destroyed all targets in the airspace around Kyiv.
Popko said Shahed bombardment munitions were used, according to preliminary information.
Three houses were damaged by falling debris in two districts of Kyiv region, according to Ruslan Kravchenko, head of Kyiv regional administration.
One of the houses caught fire and sustained roof and wall damage, while two others sustained minor damage, Kravchenko said.
A resident of one of the houses was injured in the leg, he added.
