(Spanish CNN) — The Copa Libertadores 2023 continues its course and this Wednesday we will know which matches will launch the round of 16 of this edition of the competition.

On June 29, the last matches of the group stage of the cup were played and, with this, the teams that will play the round of 16 (the first of the tournament’s knockout stages) were decided.

To define the round of 16, a draw will take place in the city of Luque, Paraguay, headquarters of the South American Football Confederation (Conmebol).

The draw will take place on Wednesday 5 July. So that you don’t miss anything, we give you all the details here.

Which teams will participate in the 2023 Copa Libertadores Round of 16 draw?

There is something that many Argentinian fans (and those from other countries, surely) are waiting for: there could be a crossover between Boca and River in the round of 16, since the xeneize finished first in their region, while the millionaire finished second. place.
